Celebrate and Honor Veterans
A Veteran’s service goes beyond their time in active duty. It does not end when the uniform comes off. They take the lessons they have learned and continue their service to our nation by strengthening our society. When their time in active duty is over, they return to their communities as teachers, businessmen and women, nurses, and so much more.
As a result of their unique experiences, they have unique needs when it comes to end-of-life care. These unique needs are recognized through the We Honor Veterans program – a collaboration of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This program offers an opportunity for providers to guide America’s Veterans and their families through their life stories toward a more peaceful ending.
We at Grane Hospice are honored to be participants in the program in each of our four locations. Our team works diligently to accommodate the unique needs and special concerns a Veteran faces by utilizing a wide array of strategies and tools. We are dedicated to helping Veterans in hospice care live life to the fullest, and it is our mission to serve those who have served our country.
Veterans, we thank you – today and every day – for your service.
